Soaring Compact Disc OMM CD0102 $15 + S&H Read REVIEWS This fan-demanded recording is like Steve's live shows where he trades instruments to weave together original and traditional songs with instrumental tunes as he shares the "sweet music" of dulcimers. While not a "dulcimer album," both hammered and mountain dulcimers are an integral voice throughout the songs and tunes. Favorite traditional tunes (see below) are joined by playful and serious original songs. Steve has 3 times won 2nd place in the National Mountain Dulcimer championship (2006, 2004, 1998)
and twice won 3rd place (2002, 2001) and three times was a Finalist in the National Hammered Dulcimer
championship (2004, 2003, 1999). His creative arrangements shine in Lake Ozark Blues, Noel New-Velet (a 14th century French carol that
meets Dave Brubeck in 5/4 time) and the celtic Reluctant Busboy. He is joined on this recording by the Northern Colorado talents of Russ Hopkins (Blind Monks), Carole & Teresa Lundgren (Random Acts), Mike Moxcey, Heather Wegter and Kevin Jones.
